Contains: Duck Necks
3oz packs contain between 2-3 necks. 12oz packs average around 8-12 necks and total over 3lbs of pre dried weight 🦆Â
Duck is considered a "cooling" meat, which many holistic vets recommend to pets suffering from chronic inflammation, allergies, arthritis, and cancerÂ
Diets with too much "hot" foods are believed to be plagued with itchy skin/hot spots, excessive energy, and aggressive behavior
For itchy allergy prone dogs, tailoring a diet around cooling proteins such as Duck, Rabbit, and Whitefish may help to alleviate mild symptoms of chronic inflammation, licking, biting and hot spots.
The nice thing about single ingredient treats is that with nothing else added, you’ll be able to monitor allergies by way of an elimination diet precisely and accurately. Feel free to Google techniques on how to do one!
The problem with feeding most commercial foods and assuming food allergies strictly based on that is there are so many other ingredients included in those meals, you really have no true way of knowing the actual cause. It could be the protein, but it could also be any number of included grains, veggies, fruits, herbs, or preservatives.
Take it slow, observe, monitor, and track changes to food, environment, and stool. It could be that it’s not even food related at all!
Best Suited For:Â Small to Large Breeds
Storage Instructions - No need for a freezer or fridge, this item does just fine in a cool and dry space!Â
