The Horizontal Scratching Post takes our standard Scratching Pole and lays it across the wall. Cat wall scratchers not only provide a fantastic area to claw and stretch, they also encourage exercise by having your kitties jump to make the journey up the wall. These poles can be attached to either the front or back of the mounting plank. This enables you to create double scratching poles by mixing diagonal, vertical and horizontal poles with each other. The interweaving poles can create a thought-provoking scratching surface up the wall and the extra routes are ideal for homes with multiple cats.
Poles can be mounted by securing one plank into a wall stud and installing the other plank into drywall with the included drywall anchors.
With that said, it is still best practice to install both planks into a stud if you are able to. This allows for greater flexibility as you continue to add to your kitty playground since you will be able to utilize all of our items in the catalog.
